Rainbow Island Treasure Hunt VR is a pirate-themed treasure hunt game I created for an installation at the WA Shipwrecks Museum. The game allows up to 20 networked players using Oculus GOs to spend 25 minutes scouring a tropical island collecting as many gold coins as possible and finding hidden treasure chests.
Had a blast designing, modelling, rigging and then programming this character. The concept I investigated here was to have a puppeteer perform a virtual VR character to an audience 🙂
The biggest VR project I’ve undertaken to date!
After our successful Mechatron VR outing at the 2017 Rio Tinto Innovation Festival at Scitech, we were invited to return in 2018.
Mechatron VR
By far the coolest thing I’ve worked on is the Mechatron!
One of the coolest things we’ve done at Frame is the Imaginarium VR concept store. This was a pop-up space we ran at Enex on Hay St for 8 weeks over the 2017-2018 Christmas holiday season.
I am not dead! That is right. Although I’ve not posted here for a very long time it is with good reason … I co-founded the virtual reality company, Frame VR.
More Iray rendering tests with an old model (Originally made for the Orangutan interactive mobile app)Made Tonka tough!
Control Room
For this second part of a job for Inpex on their massive Ichthys Project, I modelled and rendered some shots of a high-tech control room. Unfortunately, it was a rush job (3 days) so there was some post fixing in Photoshop but overall the lighting and materials came out well 🙂
Processing Plant
Recently created some renders of part of a gas processing plant for Inpex on their impressive Ichthys Project at Blaydin Point near Darwin.
